Qualifications:
To be considered, applicants must meet all state and local requirements to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a California public school, including:

Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board

Pupil Personnel Services Credential or Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
-
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered
-
Current Department of Justice/FBI background clearance and TB test results
-
Prior school-based experience is strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Typical duties for a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist include:

Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments

Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs
-
Providing direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups
-
Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
-
Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and progress reports
-
Participating in IEP meetings, staff conferences, and ongoing program planning
-
Supporting communication goals across school environments
